Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Sacred Valley Tour – Chinchero, Moray, Maras & Ollantaytambo
We begin the tour with hotel pick-up in Cusco at 7:00 a.m. and travel into the stunning Sacred Valley of the Incas, one of the most important regions of the Inca Empire.
Our first stop is Chinchero, a traditional Andean village famous for its skilled weavers and ancestral Inca textile techniques. We then continue to Moray, the impressive Inca agricultural laboratory, followed by a visit to the spectacular Maras Salt Mines, featuring over 3,000 salt pools still in use today.
The day concludes with a guided visit to the archaeological site of Ollantaytambo, one of the best-preserved Inca towns.
At midday, enjoy a buffet lunch in Urubamba, sampling the rich flavors of Sacred Valley cuisine.
In the afternoon, we board the tourist train to Aguas Calientes (Machupicchu Pueblo), where you will spend the night in a comfortable hotel, preparing for the highlight of the journey.
Day 2: Guided Tour of Machupicchu
Early in the morning, around 5:00 a.m., your professional guide will meet you at your hotel to take the bus to Machupicchu, the most iconic archaeological site in South America and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.
Enjoy a fully guided tour of Machupicchu, learning about its history, architecture, and mysteries. After the guided visit, you will have free time to explore the citadel at your own pace and take memorable photos.
Later, return by bus to Aguas Calientes, and in the afternoon take the train back to Ollantaytambo, where our transportation will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel in Cusco.
