Itinerario

Day 1 – Cusco – KM 104 – Wiñaywayna – Aguas Calientes

Our adventure begins early in the morning in Cusco.
After a 2-hour journey in our private transport, we will arrive in Ollantaytambo, where we board the train to Kilometer 104 (2,270 m.a.s.l.), the starting point of our trek.

A short walk brings us to the archaeological site of Chachabamba. After exploring this beautiful place, we continue along a trail that leads us through lush valleys filled with orchids, bromeliads, and a refreshing waterfall.

The path then becomes slightly steeper as we climb toward Wiñayhuayna (2,700 m.a.s.l.), a stunning archaeological complex with impressive agricultural terraces and an imposing set of Inca constructions perched on a rocky ridge, overlooking the valley.
Here, we will enjoy breakfast before continuing the hike along the slopes of the great Machu Picchu mountain.

Our journey leads us to Inti Punku (The Sun Gate), from where we can appreciate a spectacular sunset over the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu. After taking in the view, we descend for about 45 minutes to the entrance gate of Machu Picchu, where we board the bus down to Aguas Calientes. We will spend the night in a comfortable hotel.

(On this day, we only pass through Machu Picchu and take photos from the viewpoint.)
Dinner, rest and preparations for the next day are included.

Optional: The hot springs are a great option to relax.
Bring your swimsuit and 10 soles.

DAY 2- Machupicchu – Cusco

Breakfast will be ready at 4:30 a.m. At 5:30 a.m., we board one of the first buses up to Machu Picchu to watch the sunrise and enjoy a 2–3 hour guided tour. During the tour, your guide will explain Inca life in Machu Picchu, their rituals and ceremonies, the purpose of the site during its splendor, and its various temples, dwellings, and hidden secrets.

After the guided tour, you will have free time to explore and enjoy Machu Picchu at your own pace.

In the afternoon, at the scheduled time, we return to Aguas Calientes for lunch (not included). After lunch, we take the train back to Ollantaytambo, where a tourist bus will be waiting to transfer you back to Cusco.
