Itinerary
Day 1: Cusco – Qenqo Village – Huchuy Qosqo – Lamay – Machu Picchu Town
Your adventure begins with hotel pick-up in Cusco at 8:00 a.m. After approximately one hour of driving, we arrive at the traditional Quechua village of Qenqo, the starting point of the hike.
From Qenqo, you will begin a scenic hike of about 3 hours, following ancient Andean paths while enjoying stunning panoramic views of the Sacred Valley, surrounding mountains, and highland landscapes. Along the way, your professional trekking guide will share insights into local culture, history, and Andean life.
Upon arrival at the archaeological site of Huchuy Qosqo, you will enjoy a guided visit of this remarkable Inca complex, believed to have served as a palace during the Inca period. The site offers impressive stone structures and sweeping views over the Sacred Valley.
After the visit, you will descend to the village of Lamay, where our private transport will be waiting to take you to Ollantaytambo train station. From there, you will board the train to Machu Picchu Town (Aguas Calientes). Upon arrival, you will check into your hotel and spend the night, preparing for the highlight of the journey.
Day 2: Machu Picchu – Ollantaytambo – Cusco
