Itinerary
DAY 1: Cusco – Puerto Maldonado City
Pick up from your hotel in Puerto Maldonado city and transfer to the harbor of Tambopata river.
►If you travel from Cusco to Puerto Maldonado by bus, you must take the day before at night ( Journey takes 10 hours) recommended bus companies: Cruz del sur or Movil tours. In case you have a flight you can request a transfer to the airport .Please request here: aitaperuh@gmail.com or via whatsapp +51984888929.
When you arrive in Puerto maldonado you will be received at the airport or bus station to be transferred to our office where you can storage your luggage.
Once you are ready, your adventure starts by taking our transport and drive for the next 2 hours approximately until reaching the Tambopata river and take the boat to get our lodge. You will be welcomed in our lodge, receive your room and have Lunch.
In the afternoon you will make an introductory walk to the tropical jungle where you will have the opportunity to see animals in their natural habitat such as amphibians, Mammals, reptiles and wonderful insects, among others. After dinner participate in the nocturnal hike and in the caiman hunting activity.
Day 2: Tour to Collpa Chuncho.
We weak up very early and go by boat to the largest macaw clay lick in the world “Collpa Chuncho”. During the journey you will have incredible views of the sunrise and some species of animals such as capybaras, birds even the Jaguar. Many of our customers are witnesses with photographic evidence of encounters with this beautiful animal.
Once you arrive to the macaw`s clay lick, you will admire one of the most beautiful natural birdlife shows in the world, in a good day of activity you will be able to see hundreds of this wonderful animal flying over you.
By lunch time you will be back in the lodge.
In the afternoon you will go to fishing “Piranha” and have fun practicing kayak in the Tambopata river.
Day 3: Birdding and Back to Puerto Maldonado city
Still in the darkness you will be able to go to our bird watching tower and enjoy the magical sunrise and the sound of the jungle.
Have breakfast and pack your belongings to be transferred back to the Puerto Maldonado city.
