ITINERARY

Day 1: Cusco

Arrive at any time your transfer to the hotel is included. Tonight meet the group and your guide at a welcome meeting and take this opportunity to let us know your expectations for the upcoming tour.

Day 2: Cusco / Ollantaytambo

Explore the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Walk in the ruins of Pisaq, appreciate its urban architecture and hydraulic engineering. Visit the community restaurant Tambo Del Chasqui supported by Aita Peru in the town of Huch’uy Qosqo and enjoy a healthy lunch prepared with organic products from this fertile valley. In the afternoon visit the ancient Inca town of Ollantaytambo and walk through its traditional narrow streets.

Day 4: Ollantaytambo / Cusco

Wake up early and enjoy the sunrise before breakfast, this day you will visit Moray an old set of agricultural terraces that have microclimates, then meet the Inca mines of Maras. In the afternoon visit Chinchero and its ancestral textile workshops. Finally you will return to Cusco to spend the night.

DAY 1: CUSCO – SORAYPAMPA (Bus and walk)

We will leave at 5:00 in the morning from the city of Cusco by tourist bus, we will pass through the towns of Izcuchaca and Limatambo arriving at the town of Mollepata around 7:00 in the morning. There we will have our breakfast, around 8:00 in the morning, we will then continue in our private van to the area called Markhuq’asa, from this point we will start our walk surrounded by a typical landscape of the Peruvian Andes, and at noon our lunch will be ready in the area called Soraypampa, located at 3,900 meters above sea level and at the foot of the snowy Salkantay, one of the main sacred places in the Peruvian Andes. In the afternoon we will take a walk to the Humantay lagoon, after the visit we will return to our camp base where we will spend the first night.

DAY 2: SORAYMAPA – COLLPAPAMPA (walk)

In the early morning we will have breakfast and afterwards we will go up to the highest point of our trip, the Abra Salkantay, which is located more than 4,000 meters above sea level. Rest and enjoy the panoramic views, and start descending to the valley of Collpapampa. In those moments we will quickly notice the change of climate and we will enjoy the landscapes of the jungle, with the formations of the rivers coming from the glaciers that become tributaries of the great Urubamba river. We will also see a great variety of Orchids, etc. We will arrive in Collpapampa in the afternoon, where we will camp for the night.

DAY 3: COLLPAPAMBA – LLAQTAPATA (Walk)

After a comforting breakfast, we will start our walk appreciating a variety of crops, including the coca leaf, considered a sacred plant from our ancestors. This last section will be descending to Playa Sahuayaco passing through the land of the fruit of passion. There we will have a typical lunch prepared by our Andean chef. After a short rest we will ascend a pre-historic path to the top of a mountain where there is an Inca city hidden among the tangled jungle of the mountains, here we will spend the night in a lodge with a wonderful view of Machupicchu.

DAY 4: LLAQTAPATA -HIDROHELECTRICA – MACHU PICCHU PUEBLO (Hike)

Every day is a discovery accompanied by our professional guide who will give us unique and personalized attention throughout the trip. On this day we will have splendid views of waterfalls that descend from the glaciers. We will see coca plantations, coffee and tropical fruits. In the afternoon we will arrive at Machupicchu, popularly known as “Aguas Calientes”. That’s where we will spend our last night in a hotel at the foot of the Great Machupicchu (Inca citadel), and zip line (extra service) after breakfast until lunchtime.

DAY 4: MACHUPICCHU – CUSCO (walk and visit the Inka city)

At 4:30 am we will get ready to head to the Inka city of Machupicchu, by a way up in the middle of the jungle. The walk will last about an hour and a half, thus having the opportunity to register at the access control at 6:00 am and see the sunrise already inside the Machupicchu complex. We will continue the visit inside the Inka city accompanied by our professional guide who will share their knowledge for approximately two hours and then you will have free time to visit and hike inside the Inkan city. In the afternoon at the indicated time we will return by tourist train from Machupicchu to Ollantaytambo and there we will pick up a tourist bus that will take us to the city of Cusco. As an additional service you can get transport up to Machu Picchu.

Day 10: Tour to the Rainbow Mountains of Vinicunka

Start at 5:00am, travel by car for 3:00 hours to the sector called Llaqto, from this point we will start the hike to the rainbow mountain, for 2:00 hours, on the way we will observe llamas and alpacas, also local people who keep the culture alive. Arrival to the summit, observe the splendid natural colors and return to the starting point to return to Cusco, arrival to Cusco at 17.00 hours.
