Waqrapukara; a hidden gem among towering canyons

Itinerary

The departure is 6:00 in the morning from the city of Cusco. The travel time by car takes approximately 3 and a half hours. During the trip you can enjoy the beautiful Andean landscapes & charming ancient villages. The walk takes 1 hour and a half to reach the archaeological site of Waqrapukara, along the trek the stunning landscape will surprise you with impressive natural and extreme rocky formations, most of them are super unusual.  After a short break to enjoy our lunch, we will visit, explore, learn and delight in the beauty of this unique monument that still remains nearly intact since Inkan times. Finally rewarded with such experience, we return to our vehicle that will wait for us, we will arrive to the city of Cusco around 6:00 pm in the afternoon.
