Good For:This program is recommended for ornithologist and great bird watchers, our excursion will take you from the Andes through the cloud forest, high Amazon forest and low Amazon rain forest.

DAY 1: CUSCO – CLOUD FOREST( COCK OF THE ROCK LODGE)
Early morning we will pick you up from your Hotel and our excursion will start with one of the most birding spot area in Cusco Huacarpay Lake just at 25 minutes from Cusco city. As soon as we get this large marshy grassland we slowly walk around the lake looking for two endemic species, the Bearded Mountaineer and the Rusty-fronted Canastero, as well as numerous other Andean species.
After our warm breakfast we will continue our journey along the Andes Mountain and then get the last Andean pass Acjanaco, this is the entrance to the Manu National Park, on the way we will register Andean Flicker, Black-throated Flowerpiercer, crested cotinga, gray breasted mountain toucan, mixed-species of Mountain Tanagers, flycatchers, golden headed quetzal, crested quetzal, Mountain Cacique, etc..
Later in the afternoon we will get our comfortable Cock of the Rock Lodge.
DAY 2 : CLOUD FOREST (COCK OF THE ROCK LODGE)
A full day to explore the different ecological lager of the humidity mountain forest here we will encounter Yungas Manakin, Versicolored Barbet, Golden-eared Tanager, Highland Motmot ,green olive Woodpecker, White-throated Tyrannulet, Barred Becard, Pale-footed Swallow, Mountain Wren, Citrine Warbler Slaty Gnateater, Chestnut-breasted Wren, Cinnamon-faced Tyrannulet, Spotted Nightingale Thrush, Amazonian Umbrella Bird, Tyrannine Woodcreeper, Masked Trogon. White-crowned Tapaculo, Andean Guan, Scaly-naped Parrot, Crimson-mantled Woodpecker, Three-striped Warblers, Russet Antshrike, Marble-faced Bristle Tyrant, Fulvous-breasted Flatbill, Golden-crowned Flycatcher, Golden-collared Honeycreeper, White-winged Tanagerand, several other species.
Full service breakfast, lunch and dinner in the Eco lodge.
DAY 3 : COCK OF THE ROCK LODGE – ECO MANU LODGE
AT the first light of the day we are going to visit a platform of the Cock-of-the-Rock this brilliant Peruvian national bird come every morning to do spectacular movement and sound for attract females After this fantastic show we will return to the lodge and have our healthy breakfast and then the guardians of the flower will offer us their wonderful plumage and elegant movements here we will see Booted-racket Tail, Wire-crested Thorntail, Many-spotted Hummingbird, Violet-fronted Brilliant, White-bellied Woodstar, and Long-tailed Sylph. Following the day we will spot Rufous-breasted Wood Quail, Chestnut-collared Swift, Three-striped and Three-banded Warblers, Lanceolated Monklet, white eyes parakeet, etc.
At midafternoon we continue our excursion and after two hours drive we will get Atalaya river port, here we will left our vehicle and take a short boat ride for cross the Alto Madre de Dios River. Overnight in the comfortable Eco Manu lodge.
DAY 4-5: ECO MANU LODGE
Early start in one of the most interesting altitude is the transition of high Amazon forest with low amazon forest located at 460 mt. at this altitude we may see Rufous-crested Coquette and one of the endemic Kopcks hermit Golden-tailed Sapphire, Blue-tailed Emerald, Wire-crested Thorntail, Amethyst Woodstar and on the so rounded areas are blue headed macaw, Black-capped Tinamou, Buckley’s Forest Falcon, Wattled Guan, Military Macaw, Pheasant Cuckoo, Bluish-fronted Jacamar, Chestnut-capped Puffbird, Fine-barred Piculet, , Dark-breasted Spinetail, Dusky-cheeked Foliage-gleaner, Bamboo Antshrike, Chestnut-backed Antshrike, Amazonian and Thrush-like Antpittas, Rusty-belted Tapaculo, Mottle-backed Elaenia, Red-billed Tyrannulet, great potoo and como potoo black tail trogon, Yellow-browed Tody-flycatcher, royal flycatcher, Black-backed Tody-Flycatcher, Ornate Flycatcher, Band-tailed, Fiery-capped and Round-tailed Manakins, Warbler, Black-faced Dacnis by nights. We going out to looking for Mottled Owl, Tawny-bellied Screech Owl and other night birds.
The second day early in the morning we will visit Machuwasy lake; at this beautiful oxbow lake we will see the one of the most spectacular birds families of Hoatzin, horned screamer, sun bittern, black capped donacobios, capped heron, Johannes tody tyrant, social flycatcher and vermilion flycatcher. Following the day we will spend hiking into the bamboo forest.
